I just discovered Cook's Country, a magazine from the same people who do Cook's Illustrated. In the "Kitchen Shortcuts" section, where readers share clever tips, a Claudia Carrier in Sagle, Idaho, suggests using cardboard tubes to store plastic bags from the grocery store. While we have a great simplehuman storage container, I could have definitely used this tip when we were living in tiny apartments. And it's free! It could also be an excellent idea to bring along on long road trips, though.
